Job purpose:

Our goal is to spearhead initiatives that support sustainable sericulture, guaranteeing the effective and superior production of raw silk and value-added products by leveraging our expertise in farm management, mulberry cultivation, silkworm rearing, and cocoon production.

Key responsibilities:

• Direct and manage the comprehensive activities of the silkworm egg production center and sericulture farms, encompassing mulberry cultivation, silkworm rearing, and cocoon harvesting, ensuring optimal productivity and sustainability
• Administer the operations of silk reeling, spinning, and weaving centers, implementing quality enhancement measures to elevate product standards and meet industry benchmarks
• Facilitate seamless integration and coordination among silk weaving and fabric production centers, maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the silk value chain
• Guarantee a consistent and high-quality supply of essential raw materials, including cocoons and raw silk, to support uninterrupted production processes
• Lead initiatives for staff development, focusing on technical proficiency, managerial acumen, and effective communication, fostering a competent and cohesive team environment
• Formulate and execute annual budgets and business plans, oversee financial accounts, and implement cost-control strategies to ensure fiscal responsibility and organizational profitability.

Safeguarding responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
• Practice, promote, and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members, and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.

Educational requirements:

• The candidate must possess a bachelor's or master's degree in any discipline with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or its equivalent, indicating a second class/division or comparable academic standing in all examinations from a recognized university.
• BSc in Agriculture or Textile Engineering or other Engineering subjects will be preferred

Experience requirements:

• At least 10 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (FMCG), Manufacturing (Light Engineering and Heavy Industry), Garments, Textiles, Agro-based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM)

Additional Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a managerial position
• Age, Academic credentials, and professional experience requirements may be waived for candidates demonstrating extraordinary qualifications and a proven record of excellence

Salary Range:
