About The Role
This is an opportunity to work with a stellar operations team on strategic projects at the core of Uber Mobility Operations in Bangladesh. As a Senior Operations Manager, you will immediately impact the ground. You will work closely with the Global & Regional Ops Teams to shape strategy, take direct responsibility for critical initiatives, and help us develop and deploy innovative solutions to strengthen our business. You will need a strategic mind with strong business acumen, exceptional analytical skills, and strong stakeholder management skills to influence and coordinate across various teams, both local and global.

What The Candidate Will Do

  • Develop Strategic Insights: Transform big-picture ideas into actionable steps to understand the market landscape and generate insights that drive the success of our key projects.
  • Demonstrate Exceptional Business Acumen: Monitor, understand, and interpret key operational and financial metrics to help figure out strategy and action plans. Develop and apply understanding of the levers that move our business.
  • Deliver category-level growth through efficient marketplace management: You will work closely with the regional marketplace team to optimize demand and supply and promote growth and experience.
  • Monitor market trends and macroeconomic factors to stay ahead of industry changes. Recommend and implement strategies to maintain the competitive edge.
  • Project management and problem-solving: Leverage data-driven analysis and operational expertise to identify and address city-specific supply challenges. Plan, execute, and manage multiple initiatives across cities, ensuring excellence in a dynamic environment.
  • Stakeholder management and teamwork: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including marketplace, marketing, and product, to align on goals and drive impactful strategies that contribute to the long-term growth of the business. Also, interact with driver partners and come up with actionable strategies.

What The Candidate Will Need

  • 9+ years of experience in solving complex analytical problems; experience in the e-commerce or telecom industry, business consulting, operations, strategy, or tech start-ups.
  • University degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Economics, Statistics, Finance, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Analytical skills: Ability to develop actionable insights from complex data. Experience with data analysis, data manipulation, and data visualization. You are proficient in Excel/Sheets. Basic SQL data-driven skills are an added advantage.
  • Solution-oriented mindset: Naturally curious and motivated to solve problems, however complicated or ambiguous they may be. Ability to understand root cause elements, break down complexities, and create a structured approach and design workstreams to achieve the objective.
  • Collaboration & leadership: Great team lead and team player with strong, demonstrated leadership capabilities. Ability to manage a diverse team locally and engage with multiple regional stakeholders to drive business growth and profitability.
