Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Manager, Food Safety and Quality to oversee our food safety protocols and ensure regulatory compliance across all operations in Bangladesh. This role includes managing food safety programs, managing permits and licenses for regulated products (e.g., tobacco, pharmacy, alcohol), and serving as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food safety standards, compliance requirements, and risk management, paired with excellent organizational and communication skills with a hands-on approach.

We're looking for a sharp and proactive Manager, Food Safety and Quality to lead the charge in keeping our operations across safe, compliant, and efficient. From managing food safety programs to handling permits for regulated products like tobacco, pharmacy, and alcohol, this role puts you at the heart of it all. You'll be the bridge between our business and regulatory bodies, ensuring that standards aren't just met—they're exceeded. What's on your plate?

  • Ensure that store operations are compliant with local regulations and company policies in terms of food safety and regulated products
  • Implement HACCP plans, SOPs, and food safety protocols
  • Manage product recalls, investigate complaints and food poisonings
  • Monitor and manage permits and licenses for regulated products, including tobacco, pharmacy products, alcohol, and other controlled items
  • Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Be a hands-on role model for the compliance culture in store
  • Be the POC for local authorities

Qualifications

  • +4 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or compliance
  • Solid understanding of HACCP and food safety systems
  • Hands-on food & safety audit experience is a strong plus
  • Experience with fresh produce and/or frozen items
  • Experience working with or communicating with authorities is a strong plus
  • Hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable challenging the status quo, excited to process improve & take things to the next level
  • Comfortable working in both field and office settings
  • Experience initiating & managing projects or process improvements will be a huge plus
  • Fluent in English
  • Willingness to travel across the country
