General Manager / Deputy General Manager - Sales & Marketing (Paper Division)

Job Description / Responsibility

  • Develop and implement strategic sales & marketing plans to achieve company's business targets for paper products (Offset, Printing, Writing, Newsprint, and Industrial Grade Paper).
  • Identify new business opportunities, market segments, and potential clients to expand market share.
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and pricing evaluation to support decision-making.
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with key clients, corporate customers, distributors, and dealers.
  • Negotiate sales contracts, pricing, and payment terms ensuring profitability and long-term business growth.
  • Coordinate with production, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure timely delivery and smooth operations.
  • Lead and motivate the sales & marketing team to achieve assigned targets and maintain team performance.
  • Plan and execute promotional activities, exhibitions, and brand-building campaigns.
  • Prepare periodic sales forecasts, business reports, and performance analysis for management review.
  • Ensure proper credit control and collection follow-up to maintain healthy cash flow.

Educational Requirements

  • Masters
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Master's / MBA in Marketing / Management / Business Administration from any reputed University.
  • BBA background will be considered.
  • Engineering background will be an added advantage.
  • Skills Required: Sales & Marketing, paper industries, Medium Paper

Experience Requirements

  • 10 to 18 year(s)
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  • IT Enabled Service,Garments,Real Estate,Group of Companies,Sweater Industry,Paper

Additional Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of paper grades, specifications and market applications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to develop marketing strategies, handle large clients and achieve business growth.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and ERP systems.
  • At least 8–14 years of experience in Sales & Marketing in the Paper / Printing / Packaging / Industrial sector.
  • Minimum 5 years in a senior managerial position (GM/DGM level) with proven leadership experience.
