Role Overview

We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer experienced in NestJS, PostgreSQL, and AWS to join our growing backend team. You'll work closely with other engineers, mentor junior developers, and take ownership of system architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments. This role bridges hands-on coding and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs using NestJS and TypeScript.
  • Build efficient data models and queries using PostgreSQL.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and manage AWS deployments (EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, QA engineers, and product managers to deliver high-quality releases.
  • Conduct code reviews, ensure best practices, and mentor junior engineers.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and system performance improvements.

Required Qualifications

  1. 4+ years of hands-on experience in backend development.
  2. Strong proficiency in TypeScript and NestJS (or ).
  3. Solid experience with PostgreSQL, database optimization, and migrations.
  4. Practical experience with AWS services and CI/CD automation (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
  5. Understanding of RESTful API design, microservices, and containerization (Docker).
  6. Familiar with Agile/Scrum workflows and version control (Git).
  7. Strong problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with serverless (AWS Lambda) or Kubernetes.
  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
  • Basic understanding of for API integration.
  • Experience managing small engineering teams or leading sprint modules.
