Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role in Dhaka for a
Senior Java Developer
.

The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize high-performance backend systems using
Java 17, Quarkus 3.x, PostgreSQL, and Microservices architecture
.

You will build scalable REST APIs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure code quality, and contribute to architectural decisions. The role involves performance tuning, security implementation, and working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend microservices using
    Java 17
    and
    Quarkus 3.x
  • Build scalable, secure REST APIs following best design practices
  • Design database schemas, write optimized SQL queries, and improve PostgreSQL performance
  • Manage project build lifecycle and dependencies using Maven 3.9+
  • Implement API security using JWT/OAuth2
    with secure coding practices
  • Write unit & integration tests (JUnit, Mockito, Quarkus Test)
  • Work with
    Docker
    , Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps workflows
  • Optimize service performance, memory usage, and concurrency handling
  • Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies
  • Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, QA, and product teams to deliver high-quality features

Qualifications

  • 5 to 10 years
    of hands-on experience in Java backend development
  • Strong proficiency with
    Java SDK 17+
  • Hands-on experience with Quarkus 3.x
    (extensions, RESTEasy, reactive programming)
  • Solid knowledge of
    PostgreSQL
    (joins, functions, indexing, query optimization)
  • Strong understanding of
    Microservices architecture
  • Experience with Spring Framework
    and Spring Boot
  • Familiarity with
    Flyway
    , database versioning, and schema migration
  • Experience with
    RabbitMQ or Kafka
    (message brokers)
  • Strong knowledge of concurrency, multithreading, and high-performance tuning
  • Experience with Docker, Git, CI/CD tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, code quality mindset, and teamwork ability
  • Experience in fintech or payment systems is a plus
