Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to be responsible for the overall maintenance and smooth operation of our high and low voltage electrical systems in Rajshahi. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with substations, generators, and related power equipment, coupled with excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with various teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Substation Management: Oversee the complete operation and maintenance (O&M) of the 33kV/11kV substation, ensuring uninterrupted power distribution.

2. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine and breakdown maintenance on key electrical equipment including Ring Main Units (RMU), 220V distribution transformers, Automatic Voltage Regulators (AVR), and Power Factor Improvement (PFI) plants.

3. Power System Oversight: Manage and ensure the proper functioning of the Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) and standby generators, including periodic testing and fuel management.

4. Cabling and Metering: Supervise and execute high and low voltage cabling, termination, and jointing work.

5. Handle the installation, calibration, and reading of various electrical meters.

6. Safety & Compliance: Implement and enforce strict electrical safety protocols for all High Voltage line work and related activities to ensure a hazard-free environment.

7. Troubleshooting: Quickly diagnose and resolve any electrical faults or failures to minimize downtime.

8. Reporting & Communication: Prepare detailed daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports.

9. Communicate effectively with management, team members, and external vendors regarding maintenance schedules, challenges, and progress.

Required Qualifications & Skills

1. Educational Background: B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) from a UGC-approved university or equivalent

2. Experience: 3-5 years of direct, hands-on experience in the maintenance of industrial electrical systems, with a strong focus on high voltage equipment.

3. Flexible with Location. Comfortable to Travel & Work around Bangladesh

Technical Expertise:

1. Demonstrable knowledge and working experience with 33kV/11kV substations.

2. Proficiency in handling RMU, PFI plants, AVR, ATS, and diesel generators.

3. Strong understanding of electrical drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams.

4. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Bengali and English. Must be able to articulate technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

5. Personal Attributes: Proactive, detail-oriented, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and capable of working effectively under pressure.

Salary and Benefits

Salary Range: BDT 25, ,000 per month (Negotiable based on the candidate's experience and expertise).
