This job post is for a leading apparel sourcing and manufacturing company, connecting global buyers with high-quality products from Bangladesh. We specialize in knits, woven, sweaters, outerwear, kidswear, lingerie, and home textiles. Our company is growing, and we are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to manage financial transactions, ensure compliance, and support the financial health of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting operations, including bookkeeping, invoicing, and payments.
  • Maintain accounts payable and receivable records, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and monthly reports.
  • Handle VAT, tax, and compliance documentation as per local regulations.
  • Monitor and reconcile bank statements, supplier payments, and buyer invoices.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis for financial planning.
  • Work closely with the merchandising and logistics teams to track payments and expenses.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing required documents.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, industry regulations, and company SOPs.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a buying house, apparel industry, or sourcing company.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, or other accounting software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Additional Requirements:

  • Familiarity with LC (Letter of Credit) transactions, import/export documentation, and banking processes is a plus.
  • Understanding of cost control and margin analysis in the garment industry.
