Role Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with a strong foundation in general accounting and practical experience in financial regulations applicable in Bangladesh. The ideal candidate will have completed CA (Chartered Accountancy) or CA-CC (Course Completed) and bring 2-3 years of hands-on experience in accounting, taxation, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with IFRS and IAS standards.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries, ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, and account payable/receivable management.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with
    VAT
    ,
    corporate tax
    , and
    income tax
    regulations as per NBR guidelines.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and relevant government bodies (NBR, RGSC, Tax Office, etc.).
  • Manage remittance documentation and ensure compliance with
    FCA (Foreign Currency Account)
    and
    Bangladesh Bank
    regulations.
  • Assist in filing annual tax returns, VAT returns, and other regulatory submissions.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control processes.
  • Identify accounting discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

Requirements:

  • 02-03 years of professional working experience
    in accounting and financial operations. Having CA/CC will have added advantage
  • Strong knowledge of

    Income Tax laws

    Bangladesh remittance/FCA rules
  • Experience in dealing with government agencies including
    NBR

    Tax Circle Offices

  • Excellent English communication and interpersonal abilities
