Job Description / Responsibility

Job Context

The Admission Counselling & Career Advisor role at a Japanese involves advising prospective students on Japanese language programs and guiding them toward suitable academic and career pathways related to Japan. The position plays a key role in student enrollment, counselling, and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Counsel prospective students on Japanese language courses (JLPT levels, conversation courses, test preparation, etc.)
  • Explain admission requirements, course structures, fees, schedules, and learning outcomes
  • Assist students with application forms, documentation, and enrollment procedures
  • Conduct one-on-one and group counselling sessions for students and parents
  • Follow up with inquiries through phone calls, emails, and walk-in visits
  • Guide students on career opportunities linked to Japanese language proficiency
  • Advise on pathways such as higher education in Japan, technical training programs, internships, and employment
  • Provide information on JLPT levels required for different academic and job options
  • Help students align language learning goals with long-term career plans
  • Organize career guidance sessions, seminars, and orientation programs

Educational Requirements

  • Higher Secondary
  • Bachelor/Honors
  • Skills Required: Japanese Language, admission consultancy

Experience Requirements

  • At least 1 year(s)
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  • Training Institutes

Additional Requirements

  • Support promotional activities, education fairs, and seminars
  • Represent the language center professionally to prospective students and partners
  • Assist in developing informational materials related to admissions and careers
