Sr. Accounts Manager

Job Description / Responsibility

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the overall accounts and finance operations of the company.
  • Maintain and monitor day-to-day financial transactions including cash flow, general ledger, journal entries, bank reconciliation, and ledger management.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws (VAT, AIT, etc.), and handle timely submission of returns to regulatory authorities.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audit processes.
  • Develop and implement financial controls and accounting policies to ensure accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
  • Assist management in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
  • Supervise accounts team and provide necessary guidance and support.
  • Liaise with banks and financial institutions for loans, L/Cs, and other financial matters.
  • Prepare and analyze costing reports for products and suggest cost optimization strategies.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by top management as required.

Job Location:
Dhaka (Factory/Head Office as required)

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting

Must Have completed Finance or Marketing from any of the following reputed universities:

  • BRAC University
  • North South University (NSU)
  • East West University (EWU)
  • American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB)
  • Daffodil International University (DIU)

CA (CC) / CMA (Partly Qualified) will be considered an added advantage.

Experience Requirements

  • At most 2 year(s)
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  • Steel

Additional Requirements

  • Minimum 0–2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
  • Candidates with experience in Steel or Corrugation industry will be given preference.
  • Must have sound knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP, or similar).
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
