Senior Counsellor

**Department: Counselling

Reports To: Branch Manager

Location: Gulshan 2 - Dhaka, Bangladesh**

Position Overview:

The Senior Counsellor will be responsible for guiding students through the study abroad process, from initial consultation to admission and visa lodgement. The role requires a minimum of 3 years' experience in student counselling with a proven success track record. The ideal candidate is proactive, well-organized, sales-oriented, and capable of handling crisis situations effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

-Provide expert guidance to students on study destinations, courses, admission requirements, and scholarships.

-Convert enquiries into successful admissions while achieving individual and team targets.

-Conduct career-oriented counselling sessions tailored to student needs.

-Manage end-to-end application processes and visa lodgements accurately and efficiently.

-Ensure compliance with immigration policies, university guidelines, and documentation standards.

-Handle challenging cases such as visa refusals, delayed admissions, or student grievances.

-Provide timely solutions and maintain student satisfaction.

-Drive student enrolments through strong sales and negotiation skills.

-Maintain long-term relationships with students, parents, and partner institutions.

-Maintain organized student records, application logs, and pipeline tracking.

-Prepare reports on student admissions, conversions, and visa outcomes

-Mentor junior counsellors and support their professional growth.

-Coordinate with marketing, admissions, and operations teams for smooth workflows.

Qualifications & Skills:

-Bachelor's/Master's in any related field.

-Minimum 3 years of experience in student counselling for international education.

-Proven success in admissions, visa lodgement, and student conversion.

-Excellent sales, communication, and interpersonal skills.

-Strong organizational and documentation skills.

-Proactive, problem-solving mindset with crisis management capabilities.

-Knowledge of major study destinations: UK, USA, Australia, Malaysia , Europe etc.
