Job Description / Responsibility

A leading international convenience store chain, and one of the largest in its home country is entering the Bangladesh retail market through a joint venture with Kazi Farms Limited. With an ambitious vision to set new benchmarks in retail customer experience, the project is currently in its pre-opening phase. To be part of this exciting journey, we are seeking a competent Accounts & Finance Manager to oversee and coordinate all functions in close collaboration with both the international project team and local stakeholders.

Job Purpose:

The Accounts & Finance Manager is responsible for managing tax audit documentation and compliance, ensuring the timely preparation of accurate financial reports and maintaining effective control over merchandise inventory and employee receivables. This role supports financial transparency, compliance, and operational efficiency through strong administrative and monitoring processes.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Verify expenditure documents to ensure alignment with Standard Operating Procedures and transaction accuracy.
  • Check and validate payment documents to suppliers/partners for completeness and correctness to ensure timely disbursement in line with company policies.
  • Ensure all payment documentation for suppliers and partners is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulations to facilitate timely disbursements.
  • Maintain accurate and effective control over merchandise inventory to prevent stock discrepancies or loss.
  • Provide reliable inventory data to support business analysis and operational decisions.
  • Monitor and report on employee receivables, particularly those arising from Non-Business Hours (NBH) activities, to ensure timely recovery and accountability.
  • Manage all documentation and administrative processes related to tax audits and inspections.
  • Monitor tax payments and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors to support timely and accurate tax reporting.
  • Monitor the timely and accurate preparation of the company's financial information.
  • Assist in preparing regular and ad-hoc reports to the Finance Controller for use in planning, performance evaluation, and decision-making by management.
  • Ensure team compliance with the company's Information Security Management System, maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of financial data and documentation.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from any reputed university

Experience Requirements

  • At least 8 year(s)
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  • Manufacturing (FMCG),Retail Store,Multinational Companies

Additional Requirements

  • Fluent in both written and spoken English is a must.
  • Basic understanding of corporate finance principles and reporting.
  • Good understanding of tax and financial regulations.
  • Comfortable to move bank and buildup financial relation with required bank.
  • Ability to multitask and manage timelines under tight project deadlines.
  • Experience with inventory accounting and receivables tracking.
