Position Overview

The Finance & Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the property, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and compliance with local and international financial regulations. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, supports strategic decision-making, and safeguards the property's assets while aligning with the organization's financial goals.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Reporting

  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
  • Present financial reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to management and owners.

Accounting Operations

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
  • Ensure accurate posting of revenue, expenses, and accruals as per company policy and local accounting standards.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, suppliers, and inter-company accounts.

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, VAT returns, and statutory filings.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard hotel assets.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.

Cost Management

  • Monitor and control operational costs while supporting profitability goals.
  • Conduct cost analysis for F&B, rooms, and other revenue centers to optimize margins.
  • Support department heads with budgetary control and variance analysis.

Team Leadership

  • Manage and develop the finance & accounting team, ensuring adherence to deadlines and standards.
  • Provide training on financial policies, systems, and compliance requirements.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred).

Experience:
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in finance/accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the hospitality industry.
