Role Description

We are looking for a highly skilled
BI Developer
with strong expertise in
Power BI, DAX, SQL, and Dimensional Data Modelling
. The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under tight timelines in an
Agile environment
. This role involves close collaboration with clients in Australia, so strong interpersonal and client-facing skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain
    Power BI dashboards and reports
    with a strong focus on
    DAX
    .
  • Build and optimise
    data models
    for reporting and analytics.
  • Write efficient
    SQL queries
    for data extraction, transformation, and loading (
    ETL
    ).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable BI solutions.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance optimisation in all reports.
  • Work within
    Agile methodologies
    , participating in sprints, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Deliver high-quality solutions within agreed timelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3 years of hands-on experience
    in BI development.
  • Strong proficiency in 
    Power BI
    (including advanced DAX),
    SQL
    (complex queries, performance tuning) and
    Dimensional Data Modelling.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working in
    Agile/Scrum environments
    .
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with other BI tools or cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
  • Knowledge of ETL processes and tools.
