Major Responsibilities:
The responsible person shall be working under the SAJIDA mental health program, designed to promote & protect psychological health and well-being of vulnerable marginalized communities from Sajida's field operation areas.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop training materials both in Bangla & English based on current global context and new academic discoveries
  • Conduct mental health specific trainings for the population of all strata (especially low economic status) as needed
  • Develop new and effective Mental Health Capacity building activities for para-counselors.
  • Assisting in development of various protocols for projects.
  • Conduct supervision sessions for para-counselors
  • Coordinate and sustain working relationship with stakeholders.
  • Assist & monitor activities of field staff
  • Track project execution by ensuring timely and adequate reporting, against plans including providing timely and articulate progress reports;
  • Monitor project progress, identify improvement opportunities, assist with the revision of work plans and advice the project manager of possible adjustments to meet the project objectives;
  • Oversee all logistics and administrative aspects of the program
  • Assist program head in identifying, mitigating and managing project risks.
  • Support program head in other relevant project activities (project planning, assist in finance management, report writing, expense reconciliation report etc.)
  • Support program head in the development, maintenance and strengthening of key strategic partnerships with SAJIDA Foundation internal teams and other potential donors.
  • Any other functions, responsibilities which may be assigned by the upper management of the project as and when required
  • Make regular field visits to pilot sites to develop contextual knowledge of each site, develop relationships with the field team, and provide support as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Ms. in Clinical Psychology & Counseling Psychology
  • 5 years and above in the relevant field of psychology relevant services (project management experience will be a bonus)
  • Well-developed oral and verbal communication skills in order to develop a professional and efficient relationship with relevant stakeholders.
  • Interpersonal skills to connect with others and develop rapport with relevant personnel.
  • Compassion and empathy.
  • The ability to explain, encourage and build confidence.
  • Observation and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to think outside the box and work under pressure.
  • Decision-making skills and the ability to organize and plan your workload.
  • Enthusiasm, sensitivity and patience to deal with a range of needs.
  • Must have structured and organized skill and proficiency on MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc..
