ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking to hire a highly skilled Sourcing Specialist (Role Level: Senior Executive/Assistant Manager) who has in-depth knowledge about sourcing various items/raw materials from the Chinese Market, with a focus on regional supplier hubs and product categories.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Source a wide range of materials and products from China according to the business needs of the company.
  • Research, identify, and evaluate potential suppliers across various Chinese regions, considering quality, price, and reliability.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery timelines, and contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent supply and trust.
  • Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with company requirements.
  • Stay updated on market trends, regional specialties, raw material availability, and pricing fluctuations.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to understand sourcing needs and align with business goals.
  • Manage the full procurement cycle, including raising orders, coordinating logistics, and tracking deliveries.
  • Provide regular reports and insights on sourcing strategies, supplier performance, and potential cost-saving opportunities.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong knowledge of Chinese supplier hubs and regional product specialties.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented.

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE AND
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience:
     3 to 5 years of relevant sourcing/procurement experience from China.
  • Education:
    BBA / MBA (preferably major in Supply Chain Management).
  • Professional Qualification:
     PGD in Supply Chain Management will be an advantage.
