We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Manager, Agriculture & Food Security who will provide strategic technical leadership, quality assurance, and capacity development for agriculture, social forestry, and climate-adaptive livelihood interventions within the UPG Programme. This role involves ensuring Graduation participants to improve their food security, diversify their income, and build resilience to shocks through sustainable and market-responsive enterprises.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide technical quality by ensuring agriculture, social forestry, and livelihood interventions are sustainable, context-specific, and aligned with climate-adaptive standards.
• Develop enterprise packages by preparing operational guidelines, technical standards, and business plans that help participants move into viable enterprises.
• Support programme delivery by planning and distributing enterprise inputs and services on time and monitoring activities against agreed targets.
• Strengthen learning and innovation by conducting field visits, analysing MIS/MEAL data, and documenting cost-effective solutions for continuous improvement.
• Contribute to sector planning by preparing strategies, budgets, cash flow charts, and Annual Operational Plans (AoPs) for agriculture, forestry, and food security.
• Build staff and participant capacity by designing training modules, curricular, and IEC materials, and by facilitating ToTs, coaching, and mentoring.
• Foster partnerships and linkages by working with government agencies, research institutions, and private sector actors to expand technical collaboration and market opportunities.
• Engage in knowledge sharing by coordinating with BRAC's technical units, advocacy, and communications teams, and by representing UPG in external forums and policy dialogues.
• Support cross-programme initiatives by contributing to context analysis, package design, recruitment, and supervision in other BRAC livelihood programmes (IDP, ICCP, etc.), while promoting entrepreneurship and best practice sharing.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.

Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in agriculture, forestry, and livelihood with experience in technical leadership in climate-smart enterprises, training, and value chain development within the development sector.

Educational Requirements:
Master's in Agriculture/ Forestry & Environmental Sciences or any other relevant discipline from any recognised university/ institution. Certification in Disaster Management, Climate Change, Environmental Science will be preferred.

Additional Job Requirements:

• Strong understanding of agriculture, forestry, aquaculture, and climate-resilient enterprise development in rural, poverty-focused contexts.
• Knowledge of agriculture value chains, market systems, and entrepreneurship models for Ultra-poor households.
• Familiarity with national and global policies, research, and innovations in climate-smart agriculture, food security, and livelihoods.
• Skilled in designing and implementing technical guidelines and training curricular.
• Profient in MS Office Suite, data management tools and digital reporting platforms.
• Excellent stakeholder management and analytical skills.
