The
Marketing & Merchandising Manager – Ralph Lauren Sweater Account
will lead the
end-to-end business management, product development, and execution
of all RL Sweater programs across Q Collection's multi-country supply chain.

This role will act as the
strategic interface between Ralph Lauren and Q Collection
, ensuring brand integrity, commercial excellence, and flawless execution from design adoption to delivery.

The incumbent will manage a of merchandisers and work collaboratively with cross functional teams such as, planners, PD technologists and manufacturing to deliver
premium quality, right-first-time sampling, and on-time delivery on bulk orders
, while maintaining target profitability and strengthening Q's position as a strategic partner to Ralph Lauren.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business & Account Management

  • Own the
    business P&L
    for the Ralph Lauren Sweater division, ensuring volume, margin, and delivery targets are met.
  • Develop and execute
    seasonal account strategies
    , including capacity loading, pricing alignment, and new product category expansion
  • Build strong relationships with RL teams across NY, HK, and UK – acting as the
    single point of accountability
    for Q's performance.
  • Support annual
    budgeting, forecast planning, and revenue target achievement
    for the account.

2. Product Development & Merchandising

  • Lead seasonal product development aligned with RL calendar (Design Adoption → Proto → SMS → Buy).
  • Ensure 100% alignment with
    Ralph Lauren standards
    on hand feel, yarn quality, finishing, and fit.
  • Drive
    fabric & yarn innovation
    , collaborating with the Raw Material Sourcing team for RL-approved mills.
  • Ensure cost sheets are accurate, transparent, and updated.
  • Deliver
    right-first-time sampling
    through close coordination with PD, Technical, and QA teams.

3. Critical Path Management & Operational Excellence

  • Develop and own the
    RL Critical Path Tracker
    , covering development through delivery.
  • Conduct weekly milestone reviews and flag potential delays to leadership and customer.
  • Align production schedules with factory planning to ensure
    zero airfreight / penalty scenarios
    .
  • Ensure
    100% data accuracy in PLM and ERP systems
    .
  • Establish strong collaboration with Q Morocco for near-shore replenishment models.

4. Costing, Margin & Commercial Governance

  • Drive
    cost competitiveness
    through structured costing analysis and negotiation.
  • Partner with Finance and Sourcing to track EPM (Earnings per Minute), SAH, and Value Added (VA) targets for the account.
  • Evaluate and approve style-level costings ensuring
    target margin realization
    across multiple production bases.
  • Support quarterly
    margin reviews and cost benchmarking
    versus peer vendors.

5. Customer Interface & Presentation Excellence

  • Lead all customer communications, presentations, and business reviews with RL teams.
  • Represent Q Collection in buyer visits, virtual meetings, and factory walkthroughs, ensuring alignment with RL's premium brand positioning.
  • Support new business initiatives and strategic growth plans with Ralph Lauren (e.g., cashmere, recycled cotton, digital sampling).

6. Team Leadership & Capability Development

  • Lead and mentor the merchandising and development team handling Ralph Lauren sweaters.
  • Build
    cross-functional collaboration
    across Planning, PD, Sourcing, QA, and Production.
  • Drive a performance culture with clear accountability and development milestones.
  • Support training programs on
    brand standards, digital merchandising, and PLM discipline
    .

7. Digital Transformation & Reporting

  • Ensure 100% of style developments and milestones are tracked in
    Centric PLM
    and ERP dashboards.
  • Leverage digital tools to enhance visibility, reduce lead time, and minimize sample iterations.
  • Publish a
    monthly RL Performance Dashboard
    covering OTIF, sample hit rate, and customer feedback (Aligned to RL vendor score card).

8. Sustainability & Brand Alignment

  • Partner with RL teams on
    sustainability initiatives
    , including recycled yarns, traceability, and carbon footprint reduction.
  • Ensure Q's operations meet RL's
    2030 sustainability roadmap
    and transparency standards.
  • Support supplier certification updates and mill compliance verification for all nominated yarns.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in
    Apparel Merchandising, Textile Engineering, Business, or Marketing.
  • MBA preferred but not mandatory.

Experience:

  • 10–15 years
    in merchandising/marketing within the
    apparel manufacturing industry
    .
  • Minimum
    5 years handling a premium/luxury brand
    (Ralph Lauren, PVH, Aritzia, or similar).
  • Strong track record managing
    sweater categories (cotton, wool, blends, intarsia)
    and complex developments.
  • Experience working with
    multi-country manufacturing platforms
    .

Technical & Functional Skills:

  • Strong command of
    critical path management
    and commercial negotiation.
  • Experience in
    PLM (Centric or equivalent)
    and ERP-based workflow tracking.
  • Proven success in
    customer relationship management
    and
    cross-functional leadership
    .
  • Strong understanding of
    RL aesthetic, product integrity, and premium brand requirements
    .
