  • Position Overview

  • The
    Senior Counsellor
    for
    Australia, UK, and Malaysia etc
    will be responsible for delivering high-quality counselling services to prospective students, ensuring smooth end-to-end enrollment processes, and maintaining exceptional service standards. This role requires a proactive, disciplined, and detail-oriented professional who excels in sales conversion, understands international education systems, and can guide both students and junior team members effectively.

  • The Senior Counsellor will also play a key role in training and developing junior counsellors and CSR team members to maintain GPEL's service excellence.

  • Key Responsibilities

  • Student Counselling & Enrollment
  • Provide accurate and updated counselling on study opportunities in
    Australia, UK, and Malaysia
    .
  • Assess student profiles and recommend suitable courses, universities, and pathways.
  • Guide students through application, documentation, compliance, and visa processes.
  • Maintain strong conversion rates through consistent follow-up and service quality.

  • Ensure every student receives personalized, professional guidance aligned with GPEL standards.

  • Sales Excellence & Target Achievement

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly enrollment targets.
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to convert leads into successful applications.

  • Maintain updated CRM records and ensure all interactions are documented.

  • Team Training & Leadership

  • Train and mentor
    junior counsellors and CSR teams
    on product knowledge, counselling techniques, documentation, admissions SOPs, and service delivery.
  • Review applications prepared by junior staff and ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Support management in improving counselling processes, materials, and overall efficiency.

  • Operational Responsibilities

  • Maintain updated knowledge of admission requirements, scholarship opportunities, and university/college updates.
  • Communicate regularly with partner institutions for updates and issue resolutions.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on student inquiries, applications, conversions, and progress.

  • Ensure discipline, punctuality, and professionalism within the counselling workflow.

  • Service Excellence & Compliance

  • Ensure all counselling activities follow GPEL's SOPs.
  • Handle student concerns responsibly and proactively.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to students and parents at every stage.

  • Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all operations.

  • Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum
    4–5 years of professional experience
    in international student counselling focusing on Australia, UK, or Malaysia.
  • Strong understanding of admissions, compliance, and visa application processes.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Highly
    detail-oriented
    , organized, and able to manage multiple cases efficiently.
  • Proven
    sales conversion ability
    with a target-driven mindset.
  • Proactive, responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong mentoring and training skills.

  • Ability to handle pressure, deadlines, and diverse student needs with professionalism.
