Job Summary:

As a Senior Counselor based in our new Dhaka branch, you will play a crucial role in guiding Bangladeshi students who aspire to study abroad. You will provide expert advice on educational opportunities, program selection, university applications, visa requirements, and pre-departure preparations. Your primary focus will be on recruiting and supporting Bangladeshi students throughout their study abroad journey .

Location: Block-A & B, Level-3, 136, Rahman Mansion, Uttar Badda (Pragati Sarani), Dhaka-1212, Bangladesh

Key Responsibilities:

• Student Counseling: Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with students, providing personalized guidance on academic, career, and personal matters related to studying abroad . Assess their academic profiles, career goals, and financial resources to recommend suitable programs and universities.

• Program Selection: Guide students in selecting appropriate study programs and universities that align with their individual needs and aspirations. Provide in-depth information about program requirements, curriculum, and career prospects.

• Application Assistance: Assist students with all aspects of the university application process, including preparing necessary documents, writing compelling personal statements, and ensuring timely submission of applications.

• Visa Guidance: Provide comprehensive guidance and support to students regarding visa applications, ensuring they meet all the necessary requirements and deadlines.

• Pre-Departure Support: Offer pre-departure orientation and support to students, covering essential aspects such as accommodation arrangements, travel logistics, health insurance, and cultural adaptation.

• University Partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with partner universities and institutions abroad to facilitate student placements and ensure access to updated program information.

• Market Research: Stay informed about the latest trends and developments in the international education market, particularly concerning popular destinations and programs for Bangladeshi students.

• Promotional Activities: Participate in marketing and promotional activities to raise awareness about step4progress's services and attract prospective students.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in student counseling or a related field, with a proven track record in study abroad advising.

• Strong knowledge of the international education landscape, including universities, programs, and admission requirements for various countries.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and university representatives.

• Proficiency in English and Bengali (written and spoken) to cater to the needs of Bangladeshi students.

• Strong organizational and time management skills to manage student cases efficiently.
