We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join us as Deputy Manager, LC, Forex payment and Accounts Receivable, Finance & Accounts. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and overall financial transactions with accuracy and compliance. You will oversee vendor and staff payments, ensure adherence to tax, VAT, and Bangladesh Bank regulations, and maintain up-to-date records in the ERP system. Additionally, you will lead bank and vendor reconciliations, support audit processes, and deliver timely financial reporting. Through these responsibilities, you will play a key role in strengthening financial management, ensuring transparency, and upholding regulatory compliance, thereby contributing to the organization's accountability and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, verify, and record LC-related bills, vouchers, and other financial transactions in the ERP system.
  • Process timely and accurate payments to vendors and staff, including LC settlements, office rent, advances, and foreign currency disbursements.
  • Monitor and maintain accounts payable, vendor files, and recurring invoices, ensuring correct posting and expense amortization.
  • Perform daily and month-end closing activities in the ERP system in alignment with financial checklists.
  • Ensure strict compliance with AIT, VAT, Bangladesh Bank guidelines, and all other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit audit documentation, liaise with internal and external auditors, and implement recommended corrective measures.
  • Oversee vendor account creation, manage vendor queries, and track, analyze, and report on expenditures and commitments.
  • Reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records in the ERP system.
  • Monitor and record accounts receivable transactions while supporting financial close processes through required documentation and reporting.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial management, ERP/accounting systems, and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of VAT, AIT, Bangladesh Bank regulations, and financial compliance standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Proven experience in audit processes, financial reporting, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills, including vendors and auditors.
  • High integrity, accountability, and commitment to accuracy, transparency, and financial discipline.
  • Effective time management, adaptability, and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Educational Requirements:

Postgraduate degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline, from a reputed university..

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounts, Finance, Audit, Tax, and VAT, preferably within NGOs, INGOs, corporate organizations, government entities, banks, or financial development agencies, with proven expertise in working under an ERP environment.
