We are looking for a Merchandise Team Lead to manage the Wfashion division team of 3 merchandisers and ensure smooth execution of bulk orders. You will be responsible for the delivery performance of the team and must keep a clear overview of all running orders by monitoring the critical path and ensuring timely approvals with factories.

As Wfashion recently joined HVEG Fashion Group, you will also ensure the team fully adopts and follows our group-wide way of working. You are expected to monitor, check, and correct where needed to keep processes aligned with company standards.

You will also support the Dutch buying team by sourcing new comliant vendors, preparing product costings and representing them locally in price discussions before quoting final prices. You'll work closely with factories, our NL team, and when needed our China office to secure the right prices, lead times, and proper planning before order placement.

Key Resonsibilities:

  • Source compliant vendors.
  • Lead weekly production meetings with the merchandising team to review all orders (and developments), identify issues, and take timely action.
  • Work with our China office to confirm fabric prices and shipment dates; hold a weekly meeting to track fabric status for import orders.
  • Prepare garment costings and negotiate prices on behalf of the NL buying team; submit price proposals in line with target expectations.
  • Allocate orders strategically across factories based on capacity and long-term partnerships to ensure smooth production and on-time delivery.
  • Act as the main problem-solver for order-related issues, working with senior management and NL buyers when escalation is needed.
  • Awareness and knowledge of product safety and sustainability certifications (e.g. Oeko-tex Standard 100, GOTS, GRS)

Candidate Profile:

  • 5+ years of experience in garment merchandising or sourcing.
  • Techinical knowledge of garment construction, fabric types, and production methods.
  • Excellent in communication both written as spoken (Fluent in English is a must)
  • Proven expertise in circular + flatkntit garment costing and negotiation skills.
  • Hands-on, structured, able to work with a team and under pressure
  • Knowledge on product safety requirements and standards (e.g. REACH, EU child safety and GPSR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in a similar role within an international buying office
  • Familiarity with garment pricing, SMV analysis, and capacity planning.
  • Understanding of knitting/ weaving, dyeing, finishing, and garment construction processes relevant to garment production.
