Job Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and analyze corporate and individual taxes, ensuring all tax returns and related documents are kept up-to-date for precise record-keeping.
  • Provide cooperation, coordination, and advice on maintaining sales tax, sales commission, advance income tax (AIT), withholding tax, and FC Treasury for the submission of corporate tax returns.
  • Provide strategic support to BRAC Tax team for submission of Aarong Annual Corporate Tax Assessment to Ensure all statutory reporting of Tax compliance with applicable.
  • Stay informed about all the relevant changes in TAX & VAT litigation and their potential impact on business strategy and update records accordingly.
  • Develop and implement a tax automation process within the Central ERP system, ensuring alignment with the New IT Act 2023 to prevent double tax payments.
  • Update and manage foreign tax-related documents and implement efficient financial practices to enhance organizational compliance.
  • Assist management in creating corporate tax policies that safeguard the organization from significant fines and additional charges.
  • Attend hearings, respond to queries, and coordinate approvals with NBR authorities.
  • Determine duty rates and communicate with customs, excise, VAT authorities, and F&F agents to ensure all procurement, export, and financial matters comply with company policies and government regulations.
  • Prepare and file VAT and tax returns in coordination with the NBR and relevant departments.
  • Oversee central VAT operations and ensure compliance across all units, production centers, and warehouse operations.
  • Conduct presentations and trainings on updates and critical issues of taxation and VAT for subordinates, stakeholders, producers, and central VAT under other departments.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the program's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise in safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote, and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    A Bachelor's degree (Preferably in Finance) from any reputed university.

Experience Requirements:

Preferably a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel & Power Point
  • ERP and Tax payroll Software.
  • Basic knowledge on Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Tax, VAT, Customs, Export areas Tax New Act. & Rules -2023
