Position: Business Operations Consultant

Employment Type: Contractual (with potential for full-time role based on performance)

Experience Required: Minimum 5–10 years (with prior experience in a leading ride-sharing or mobility platform)

Job description:

The Business Operations Consultant will play a critical role in setting up and optimizing our business operation. The candidate will work closely with leadership to define the operational strategy, processes, and execution frameworks necessary for scaling a ride-sharing and delivery business.

This is a strategic and hands-on contractual role, ideal for someone who has previously worked with a ride-sharing or delivery platform (such as Uber, Pathao, Shohoz, or Foodpanda) and understands the full lifecycle of on-demand mobility operations.

Note: Based on performance and organizational needs, this role is expected to transition into a full-time leadership position within the operations team.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement an operational playbook for ride-sharing and delivery services.

· Design driver onboarding, training, and compliance frameworks.

· Set up customer support, dispatch, and driver support systems in collaboration with the tech team.

· Define and track KPIs for operational efficiency (e.g., driver activity, order fulfillment, trip success rate, cancellation rate).

· Assist in the design of fleet management, pricing, and incentive models.

· Build and guide the operations team structure, including defining roles, SOPs, and reporting lines.

· Coordinate between product, finance, and marketing teams to ensure operational scalability and cost efficiency.

· Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark operational best practices from established players.

· Support the leadership team in launch planning, city rollout strategy, and post-launch optimization.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

· 5–10 years of experience in operations, with at least 2 years in a senior role at a ride-sharing, delivery, or mobility startup.

· Proven track record of launching or scaling on-demand service platforms.

· Strong analytical, process design, and people management skills.

· Familiarity with tech-enabled logistics, driver-partner ecosystems, and customer experience management.

· Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders.

· Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
