Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and skilled Assistant Manager – Machine Maintenance & Repair to ensure that all machines, including the Automatic Rotary 18 Station DIP (Direct Injection Process) Shoe Machines, are properly maintained and repaired. The role requires a hands-on leader who can carry out in-house repairs when possible, oversee outsourced repairs, and ensure regular preventive maintenance is conducted on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend machine life.
  • Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs of machines where possible, ensuring proper functionality.
  • Supervise and coordinate outsourced repair work, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain records of all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Monitor machine performance and identify potential issues before they escalate.
  • Collaborate with the production team to schedule maintenance without disrupting output.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and company protocols.
  • Train and guide maintenance staff on troubleshooting and safety practices.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:

  • BSc in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering preferred.
  • Diploma in Engineering will be considered with extensive practical experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in machine maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Prior experience with footwear production machinery, especially DIP machines, is highly desirable.

Skills:

  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to supervise internal staff and external service providers effectively.
  • Good organizational and record-keeping abilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
