Shakti Foundation is a non-government organization dedicated to promoting the economic and social empowerment of disadvantaged women in Bangladesh. Established in April 1992, Shakti has grown to serve nearly 500,000 households across 54 districts. Originally focused on urban microfinance programs, the foundation has expanded its services to include health care, education, agro-business development, solar energy, skills training, and advocacy. Shakti Foundation is committed to unlocking the potential of women to become independent and active members of society, fostering development in both urban and rural areas.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Information Technology (IT) Manager based in Sirajganj Sadar Upazila. The IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing the organization's IT infrastructure, leading the implementation of systems to support operations, managing IT projects, and ensuring data security. Tasks include maintaining networks and hardware, troubleshooting technical issues, developing technological strategies to enhance operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with all relevant IT policies and standards. The IT Manager will collaborate with teams across the organization to align technology solutions with organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical expertise in network management, system administration, and IT infrastructure.
  • Experience with project management, strategic planning, and implementing IT solutions to meet organizational needs.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues along with analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of data security, backup systems, and compliance practices.
  • Ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA, or PMP are a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience working in a non-government or development organization is an advantage.
