Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, results-driven sales professional within the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of global or regional oil and gas trade dynamics, coupled with strong capabilities in channel development and customer relationship management. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth by exploring new trading opportunities and managing existing channel partnerships to expand our market reach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trading & Business Development:
  • Proactively identify and evaluate new trading opportunities for oil and gas products (e.g., Crude Oil, Refined Products, LNG, LPG, or Specialty Chemicals).
  • Conduct market research, analyze supply-demand trends, price fluctuations, and competitor activities to inform trading decisions.
  • Negotiate and execute spot and term trade contracts, optimizing profitability and mitigating risk.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with producers, refineries, end-users, and financial institutions.
  • Channel Sales & Management:
  • Develop and implement channel sales strategies to recruit, train, and manage partners such as distributors and agents.
  • Set clear performance targets, monitor channel partner performance, and provide necessary support and guidance.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective sales tools and marketing materials for channel partners.
  • Resolve channel conflicts, ensuring alignment between partners and the company's strategic objectives.
  • Customer Relationship & Negotiation:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts and strategic partners.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, covering price, payment terms, delivery arrangements, and contract clauses.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and foster long-term loyalty through exceptional service.
  • Internal Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Operations, Logistics, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure seamless trade execution from contract signing to fulfillment.
  • Regularly submit sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence to management.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Essential:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Petroleum Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Minimum of
    5 years
    of experience in trading, sales, or business development within the oil and gas industry.
  • Solid understanding of the oil and gas supply chain (upstream, midstream, downstream) and familiarity with international trade terms (e.g., Incoterms).
  • Proven track record of successfully negotiating commodity trades or long-term supply contracts.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Preferred:
  • Specific experience and an established network in Crude Oil, Refined Products, or LNG.
  • Experience in channel sales or partner management.
  • Proficiency in a second language (e.g., Mandarin, Arabic, Spanish), depending on the target market.
  • Financial acumen, with knowledge of risk management, hedging instruments, and Letters of Credit.
