Product Materials Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Product Materials Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting laboratory testing of various materials to evaluate their performance against physical, chemical, and environmental standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct laboratory testing of materials such as buttons, zippers, fusing, sticker, labels, metal parts, and more.
  • Evaluate the quality, color, sizing, and overall design of submitted samples to ensure alignment with our specifications.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to provide guidance on product performance improvement when needed.
  • Conduct on-site evaluations of supplier manufacturing processes to assess capability and quality control practices.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure material consistency, quality, and adherence to technical specifications.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of material properties and testing methods (e.g., tensile strength, abrasion, colorfastness, adhesive force).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across departments and with external suppliers.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented to manage multiple projects and supplier communications efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently while keeping our team updated on progress.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic running and reading artwork files in PS/AI format.
