Materials Specialist

We are seeking applications for a challenging position as a Materials Specialist. The ideal candidate will have experience in supervising the construction of civil works and possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Supervise the construction of civil works, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Review and approve contractors' working and shop designs to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Collect and compile data related to civil works for monthly reports, including progress, schedule, quality, safety, and cost status.
• Assist in resolving claims from contractors and provide support to the employer during testing and completion of works.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant field, with at least one construction project under their belt.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Ability to work in a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differences.
• Problem-solving skills, especially in an integrated project delivery environment, applying industry best practices.
• Self-motivated individual with outstanding leadership skills and ability to influence without authority.

• Report to Resident Engineer 2.
• Responsible for supervising the construction of civil works.
• Check and review the Contractors' working / shop design and construction planning related to civil works.
• Collect and compile data related to civil works for the monthly reports.
• Assist in resolving actual and potential claims from the contractor.
• Assist the Employer in testing on completion of the works.
