Job Description / Responsibility

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist visitors, customers, and clients professionally.
  • Manage incoming phone calls, messages, and inquiries.
  • Support administrative tasks: document handling, filing.
  • Coordinate with internal departments for daily operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
  • Paying close attention to the issues raised by patients
  • Handle customer queries and guide them to the correct department.
  • Understanding the exact cost of consultant fees and all tests as per the patients' needs
  • Submit daily income to the accounting department
  • Explain prescription, counsel outgoing clients.
  • Registering patients
  • Exercise caution and verify when receiving and storing information on computers.
  • Filling and maintaining various types of registers
  • Clear Knowledge on contraception, family planning, pregnancy and STIs
  • Assist clients in receiving adequate counseling on FP methods and procedures.
  • Family planning client council according to protocol
  • Uphold strict confidentiality to protect privacy and dignity
  • Clear Knowledge of stigma, shame, or trauma linked to sexual violence, child marriage, or harassment.
  • Knowledge of harmful cultural norms, gender inequality, and discrimination in healthcare settings
  • Guide clients to appropriate medical, legal, or social services
  • Performing duties according to the roster
  • Strictly follow hospital waste management instructions.
  • Informing your supervisor of any emergency
  • In any other tasks assigned by the authority

Context

The Counselor cum Receptionist will be responsible for managing service operations of the BAPSA maternity clinic in Dhaka. Maintaining client and customer relationships, assisting with day-to-day operations, maintaining discipline, and ensuring the requisite documentation are all requirements for this position.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor of Social Science (BSS)
  • Candidates with a background in Clinic Management and counseling on SRHR will be given preference.

Experience Requirements

  • 2 to 5 year(s)
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO

Additional Requirements

  • Experience as a receptionist or counselor is an advantage (in an SRHR-related organization).
