Software Project Manager

The Software Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering software projects on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders, to ensure alignment between technical execution and business objectives.

In addition, the Project Manager will strategically leverage
AI-powered project management and productivity tools
to enhance efficiency, improve decision-making, and ensure that project goals are achieved with high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
• Use
  AI-assisted planning tools
  to generate forecasts, optimize timelines, and identify resource gaps.
• Oversee all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams including developers, QA, UI/UX, and stakeholders.
• Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives (Agile/Scrum practices).
• Leverage
  AI collaboration tools
  (e.g., AI-powered meeting summarizers, task trackers) to improve team communication and knowledge sharing.
• Resolve conflicts, remove roadblocks, and keep teams motivated and productive.

Communication & Reporting

• Act as the main point of contact between stakeholders and technical teams.
• Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and progress to management and clients.
• Use
  AI tools for automated reporting, real-time dashboards, and status summaries
  to ensure stakeholders receive accurate and timely information.
• Ensure documentation is maintained for requirements, processes, and deliverables.

Quality & Risk Management

• Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Use
  AI-driven risk analysis and predictive analytics
  to identify potential bottlenecks or delivery risks earlier.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, and QA processes.
• Track and manage change requests to maintain project scope control.

Budget & Resource Management

• Estimate and monitor project costs, timelines, and resource needs.
• Use
  AI-based forecasting and resource optimization tools
  to balance workload and improve allocation efficiency.
• Ensure optimal utilization of team members and tools.
• Support hiring or resource adjustments as needed.

Continuous Improvement

• Analyze project performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Drive process optimization, adoption of best practices, and team efficiency.
• Stay updated on new project management tools, methodologies, and technologies, including
  AI advancements
  in software delivery and productivity.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Project Management, or related field (Master's or PMP/Agile certification is a plus).
• Proven experience (5+ years) managing software development projects.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and/or Waterfall methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana, MS Project).
• Familiarity with
  AI-powered tools
  for project planning, reporting, and team collaboration (e.g., Jira Advanced Roadmaps, ClickUp AI, Notion AI, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot for PM workflows).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to balance technical understanding with business priorities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience working with distributed/global teams is an advantage.
