Job Context

The position is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of the organization's IT infrastructure. The incumbent will manage system administration, server and network configurations, virtualization platforms, data backup, and disaster recovery operations. The role also involves applying system updates, addressing vulnerabilities, maintaining documentation, and supporting audit and compliance requirements while staying current with emerging technologies and best practices in IT infrastructure management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Configure, install, and troubleshoot OS, applications, servers, routers, and other network devices;
  • Perform storage and server data backup, migration, and disaster recovery operations;
  • Perform system administration, like managing Windows and Linux systems and applications;
  • Configure, install, and manage Virtualization Platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, etc.);
  • Maintain Monitoring tools to monitor IT system availability and health status;
  • Provide support to fix critical, high, and medium vulnerability assessments of Windows OS and applications hosted on these platforms;
  • Apply OS patches and upgrades every month, upgrade administrative tools and utilities, and configure/add new services as needed;
  • Generate weekly/monthly/yearly reports and perform housekeeping for Windows servers;
  • Pursue audit/regulatory recommendations and assist in settling observations regarding server/applications and prepare documentation/work instructions;
  • Ensure network security by implementing appropriate security measures and protocols;
  • Stay updated with the latest networking, server, and storage technologies, trends, and best practices.

Educational Requirements:

  • Graduation from a reputed and UGC-approved university with a satisfactory academic track record; candidates with a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any other equivalent/relevant field are preferred.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in a related field

Preferences:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft solutions and virtualization platforms;
  • Microsoft and Linux Certified Solution Expert preferred;
  • Experience in managing/administrating Windows and Linux environments.
  • Professional Certification in networking will be an added advantage;
  • Versatile, energetic, open to adaptation, and cross-functional task competence.
