Academic Coordinator
to oversee and enhance the delivery of our
IELTS, PTE, and Spoken English
programs.

Position Overview:

The
Academic Coordinator
will be responsible for managing the academic operations of GPEL's language programs, supervising trainers, maintaining course quality, and ensuring an exceptional learning experience for students. The ideal candidate must be a
CELTA-certified ESL professional
with proven experience as an
Academic Coordinator or Senior Trainer
in the
EdTech or Language Training industry
.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the
    academic planning, scheduling, and quality assurance
    of all English language programs (IELTS, PTE, Spoken English).
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a team of ESL instructors to maintain high teaching standards.
  • Develop, review, and update
    curricula, lesson plans, and assessment materials
    aligned with international testing standards.
  • Conduct
    teacher training workshops
    and provide ongoing academic support to instructors.
  • Monitor student performance and satisfaction, and implement improvement strategies where needed.
  • Collaborate with marketing and student services teams to support academic events, demo classes, and promotions.
  • Introduce innovative teaching methodologies, digital learning tools, and technology-driven teaching systems.
  • Maintain compliance with GPEL's quality framework and EdTech best practices.
  • Prepare academic reports, performance analyses, and feedback summaries for management.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Education, TESOL, or Linguistics.
    **- CELTA Certification (mandatory).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Senior ESL Trainer with at least 1–2 y
    ears in an Academic Coordinator or similar leadership role.- Strong command over IELTS and PTE academic requirements, scoring criteria, and pedagogy.
  • Experience working in an
    EdTech or professional training environment
    is
    mandatory.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using LMS platforms, online teaching tools, and digital assessment systems.
