Accounts Executive

Job Description / Responsibility

An Accounts and Vat & tax executive supports senior managers by handling client communication, preparing sales materials, managing accounts, and executing financial reporting, maintain records in CRM, process invoices, track finances, and ensure regulatory compliance, making them crucial for both client satisfaction and financial analysis for reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform data entry, bank reconciliations, assist with accounts payable/receivable, bill collection and process payments
  • Prepare, review, and timely submit VAT and other tax returns (WHT, CIT) to authorities. Reconcile VAT balance sheet accounts and update accounting records in systems like SAP.
  • Help prepare financial statements, reports (project wise income, cash flow, audit and tax/vat) Support tax audits, resolve queries from tax authorities, and manage appeals.
  • Stay informed on VAT and TAX updates and changes in tax laws, advising on their impact.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Supply Chain, Sales) and external bodies (tax advisors, auditors, authorities).
  • Practical experience in VAT/Tax roles.
  • Manage CRM data, and assist senior team members.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and financial regulations.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Chartered accounting background will get preference.

Experience Requirements

  • At least 2 year(s)
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Software Company
  • Freshers are also encouraged to apply.

  • Technical Skills:
    Proficiency in MS Office, Excel and power point, accounting software (Like ERP), and CRM tools.
  • Soft Skills:
    Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attributes:
    Attention to detail, results-oriented, proactive, and a passion for sales/client relations.

Typical Duties (Examples)

  • Processing VAT entries in SAP.
  • Preparing Mushak 6.3 for Bangladesh.
  • Handling foreign WHT (Withholding Tax).
  • Developing tax-saving strategies.
