Education

MBBS, FCPS / MD / M.Phil in Radiology & Imaging

Experience
Minimum 2 to 3 years after post-graduation

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Interpret and diagnose medical images obtained through various imaging modalities, adhering to established protocols and guidelines
  • Collaborate with referring physicians and healthcare teams to determine appropriate imaging techniques and provide consultations on image interpretation
  • Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, obtain relevant medical history, and address any concerns
  • Perform interventional procedures under imaging guidance, such as biopsies, aspirations, and drainages, ensuring patient safety and comfort
  • Supervise and provide guidance to radiology technologists and other staff involved in imaging procedures
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to treatment planning discussions, providing expertise on imaging findings
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records, documenting findings, interpretations, and recommendations
  • Stay up to date with advancements in radiology and imaging sciences through continuous professional development and participation in conferences, seminars, and workshops
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, participate in research activities, and engage in teaching and mentoring of residents, fellows, and medical students
  • Ensure adherence to radiation safety protocols and best practices in imaging, minimizing radiation exposure risks to patients and staff
  • Comply with all relevant regulatory and ethical standards in radiology practice, maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy
