We are seeking a Manager, MEAL who will lead the monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) functions of the SHIKHA project by ensuring data quality and, designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks. The role also focuses on strengthening systems and interventions for the prevention and response to gender-based violence, bullying, and sexual harassment across public and private spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead MEAL initiatives for the SHIKHA project through overseeing the MEAL activities.
• Design and develop the MEAL system and MIS, including monitoring frameworks, plans, performance indicators and reporting mechanisms.
• Provide technical support for research, baseline, midline, and end-line studies, assessments.
• Develop key tools, conduct frequent field visits and share monitoring findings.
• Document learnings through good practices, lessons, challenges, and share M&E findings with key stakeholders.
• Assist in annual plan development and budgets, prepare quarterly reports for the project utilising the data from MIS and MEAL activities.
• Provide MEAL inputs in project proposals, setting indicators and developing Logical Frameworks.
• Build capacity of SHIKHA project and programme staff (both field and head office) on MEAL approaches and practices.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.

Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the M&E/ development sector.

Educational Requirements:
Master's degree in Social Sciences/ Development Studies/ Statistics or any other relevant discipline from any recognised university/ institution.

Additional Job Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in MEAL system development, M&E Framework and data collection tools.
• Proficient in using MS Office Suite, KOBO Toolbox and data collection/ infographic tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge on Gender-based violence and human rights approaches to development.
• Ability to frequently travel across Bangladesh.
