Job Location: Gulshan-2, Dhaka

Job Summary:

The Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the organization operates within the law, follows internal policies and procedures, and adheres to all applicable regulatory and ethical standards. This role includes developing compliance programs, monitoring compliance issues, conducting audits, and training staff to ensure integrity and accountability across all operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain company compliance policies and procedures in accordance with local laws and international standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate compliance systems to ensure effective internal controls and risk management.
  • Identify potential compliance risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct periodic internal audits and inspections to detect non-compliance or irregularities.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting the organization.
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports to management and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Investigate and report any breaches or violations of regulations or internal policies.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure operational activities comply with policies and legal requirements.
  • Provide compliance training and awareness sessions for employees.
  • Support management in maintaining ethical standards and promoting a compliance culture.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CCEP, CCO, ICA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • 3–5 years of experience in compliance, audit, risk management, or legal functions.
  • In-depth understanding of local labor laws, corporate governance, and regulatory frameworks.

  • Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
