About the Role:

BRAC International (BI) is seeking a Senior Manager, Digital Transformation who is aligned with it's ethos of working in partnership with communities to create impact for scale. The Senior Manager, Digital Transformation will lead and oversee the end-to-end delivery of IT initiatives at Stichting BRAC International (SBI), ensuring solutions meet defined scope, deliver value for money, and drive organisational efficiency. Working closely with internal stakeholders, partners, and vendors, this role will manage projects from concept to release, with a strong focus on quality, timeliness, and strategic alignment. The position will play a key role in driving the digitisation of SBI's social development programmes and back-office functions across Africa and Asia, fostering innovation, strengthening operational capabilities, and enabling greater impact through technology. S/he will also ensure that the core values and mission of BI are upheld, promoted, followed, and applied across Technology team at BRAC International.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Align the IT part of the overall processes in the development programmes and support functional units with the strategic digitisation initiatives of the organisation.
  • Responsible for identifying, analysing, and evaluating existing and proposed processes and user requirements for IT enabled initiatives and implementation projects. Make sure underlying technology is able to address the business issues.
  • Organise requirement gathering workshops, participate in project management activities, and build the quality plan with internal and external stakeholders' engagements. Work with the project team to deliver projects to high standards, on time and on budget.
  • Prepare user stories, use cases, business requirements specifications, requirement traceability matrix and other functional documents.
  • Translate business objectives into technical designs, timelines, and milestones and ensure industry standard technical requirements specifications and solution design documents are prepared with solid ownership and strong coordination with the technical stakeholders.
  • Lead system architecture design, implementation and development concepts, documentation and data modeling.
  • Ownership of the entire system integration and data exchange process from the source to target system. Design, develop and execute APIs and automation scripts using the necessary tools.
  • Drive the system integration within the ERP modules and EPM system (financial consolidation and planning) and lead user acceptance testing for the entire system.
  • Identify process improvement scope in financial consolidation and planning process and build solutions for new process automation.
  • Lead business and technical aspects of real time monitoring and MIS digitalization project implementation for the AIM and all BRAC International countries.
  • Drive integrations of monitoring system with ERP, various MIS systems and build business reporting intelligence warehouse for the entire platform.
  • Lead the user acceptance and system integration testing for the entire system. Coordinate Train for the Trainers, end user trainings and user manual preparation.
  • Identify and assemble risk management plans and work effort documents and follow project management standards to manage projects throughout the project lifecycles.
  • Proactively identify and address technical debt to enhance system quality, performance, and maintainability. Lead continuous improvement initiatives by researching, evaluating, and integrating emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools that drive innovation and long-term scalability.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with product, design, QA, and business stakeholders to ensure technical delivery is strategically aligned with organisational priorities and user needs.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Implement programme decisions keeping the safety and dignity of programme participants/clients at the center, mitigate safeguarding risks and contribute to a safe working environment where staff are respected and feel confident to voice concerns without fear of retaliation.
  • Receive mandatory training on the safeguarding policies and reporting channels and have access to policies.
  • Participate in discussions on the safeguarding agenda in monthly meetings and actively voice concerns without fear.
  • Report safeguarding incidents witnessed or experiences to the Safeguarding department. For known cases, maintain neutrality, be sensitive and non-judgemental to victims/survivors, and cooperate with organisational investigations providing accurate information as needed.

Academic Qualifications:

Bachelor's/ Master's degree from a reputed university preferably in Computer Science/ Information Technology or other relevant disciplines.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 05 years of progressive experience in IT project management, digital transformation, or technology strategy, with at least 01 year in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of leading end-to-end delivery of large-scale technology initiatives, from concept to deployment, ensuring quality, timeliness, and cost efficiency.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and working with diverse stakeholders, including internal functions, external partners, and vendors, in multi-country or multicultural environments.
  • Experience working in an Agile/ Scrum development process.

Required Skills, Competencies & Knowledge:

  • Clear and concise business requirements/ specifications writing skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to build strong engagement with the IT team and cross functional stakeholders.
  • Bring together teams to design, develop, test and refine digital solutions supported under a structured environment and with ready to use tools.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders internally as well as interface with third-party contractors, partners, vendors and consultants.
  • Proven working experience in software development and quality assurance. Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Strong technical abilities, such as programming and working with mobile or website systems, security principles and script.
  • Solid knowledge of cloud infrastructure, software architecture, SQL, Databases and API Development.
  • Focus on improving decision-making and organisational abilities to help effectively self-manage your workload. Manage multiple projects at once while still meeting deadlines and presenting innovative products.
  • Keep an active watch on digital technologies available in the market that may improve the quality and efficiency of our field operations, and product and service delivery.
  • Manage and ensure of the IT compliance, service management, ownership of issue resolution and change management of all IT projects.
  • Vendor Certification in IT and Project Management (PMP/ Prince2 certification is preferred).
  • Mobile and flexible mindset to travel to project site when required.
  • Flexible to work from distant location.
  • Overseeing and travel to project site when required.
  • Possess high ethical and moral standards.
