Responsibilities & Context
  • Customer Service: Greet and welcome customers as they enter the showroom. Assist customers in finding products based on their needs, preferences, and budget. Provide detailed product information, including features, specifications, and pricing. Answer customer questions and address any concerns. Offer personalized recommendations and suggestions based on customer interests.
  • Sales: Actively promote and sell products, aiming to meet or exceed sales targets. Upsell or cross-sell related products to increase the value of sales. Process sales transactions accurately, including handling payments and receipts. Encourage repeat business through excellent service and follow-up.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with product features, availability, and promotions. Understand the showroom's inventory and be able to quickly identify product locations. Demonstrate products to customers, if applicable, to show their use and benefits.
  • Merchandising: Ensure that showroom displays are neat, attractive, and well-organized. Help with product placement, restocking, and maintaining visual merchandising standards. Update the showroom with new arrivals or seasonal displays.
  • Customer Interaction: Assist customers in the showroom, on the phone, or via online chat. Handle customer complaints or issues and resolve them professionally. Collect customer feedback and relay it to management for improvements.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and inform management of low-stock products. Assist in stocktaking and managing the back-office inventory. Ensure that all product labels, prices, and tags are up-to-date.
  • Administrative Tasks: keep accurate records of sales and customer transactions. Maintain customer databases for follow-up communications. Complete necessary paperwork, including sales contracts or order forms.
