We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join us as the Senior Officer, Internal Audit. In this role, you will support the execution of audits in line with the Annual Internal Audit Plan, ensure the quality of reports and documentation, and provide timely, practical recommendations. You will also assist in preparing MIS reports, addressing pending replies, and coordinating with programmes and departments to strengthen governance and accountability across BRAC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct audits as per the Monthly Audit Schedule in alignment with the Annual Internal Audit Plan, ensuring clear, concise, and timely audit observations with practical recommendations.
• Ensure the quality of audit reports by meeting management expectations through meetings, discussions, and proper documentation.
• Preserve sufficient and appropriate documentation for audit findings, maintaining both quality and timeliness.
• Assist in reviewing reports, preparing MIS reports, and addressing pending replies within the stipulated time.
• Communicate effectively with various divisions and sections within the department to ensure successful implementation of the Annual Internal Audit Plan.
• Coordinate with programmes and other departments on audit-related matters, including updates of circulars issued throughout the year.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.

Additional Job Requirements:

• Possess sound knowledge of IIA Standards, relevant laws and regulations, risk management, compliance, finance, and accounts.
• Skilled in auditing with strong IT proficiency and effective communication abilities.
• Demonstrate analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and negotiation capability.
• Known for being hardworking, dedicated, and result-oriented in achieving organizational objectives.

Educational Requirements:

Graduate or Postgraduate degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business Studies, or a related discipline, from a reputed university.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 1 years of experience in Internal Audit, External Audit, Accounting, and Compliance Services, with a strong understanding of the country's laws and regulations.
