We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and numerically skilled Data Entry Clerk to join our team, focusing on banking and financial products. This role goes beyond standard data entry — it requires accuracy, mathematical aptitude, and the ability to interpret and process financial information with precision. The ideal candidate will ensure that product, client, and transaction data is accurately maintained in line with compliance and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately input and update information relating to banking products (loans, mortgages, savings, credit facilities, etc.) into internal systems and databases.
  • Review and validate financial data for consistency, accuracy, and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Reconcile product details, customer information, and transaction records to identify discrepancies.
  • Prepare and generate reports for internal teams and compliance purposes.
  • Support the setup, maintenance, and updates of product information in CRM/ERP and banking platforms.
  • Conduct regular audits of data to ensure integrity and compliance with GDPR and financial regulations.
  • Work closely with operations, compliance, and product teams to resolve data-related issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and client information at all times.

Requirements

  • Minimum of GCSEs including strong grades in Mathematics and English (A-levels or Degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred).
  • Prior experience in data entry, administration, or operations within banking, financial services, or fintech is desirable.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to identify errors and inconsistencies.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups) and solid knowledge of Word.
  • Familiarity with banking products, financial terminology, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with CRM, ERP, or core banking systems.
  • Knowledge of FCA compliance and data security standards.
