We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our growing development team at Brick Line Technology Limited. If you are an experienced backend developer with strong Python skills, a solid understanding of scalable systems, and hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, we want to hear from you

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and RESTful APIs using Python.
  • Architect and implement scalable and modular backend solutions.
  • Optimize application performance and database efficiency.
  • Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver high-quality products.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement robust monitoring and logging.
  • Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and improve team coding standards.

Key Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python (Advanced)
  • Database Expertise — hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and a NoSQL database like DynamoDB or MongoDB.
  • Linux Command Line Proficiency — ability to manage and troubleshoot applications in Linux environments.
  • Git Proficiency — solid understanding of branching, merging, and code versioning workflows.
  • API Design & Integration — ability to design efficient, secure, and well-documented REST APIs.
  • Experience working with asynchronous programming, background jobs, and task queues.
  • Good understanding of software architecture, modular design, and system scalability.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and containerization (Docker).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with message queues.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools (CloudWatch).
  • Experience integrating third-party APIs and handling authentication (OAuth2, JWT).
  • Understanding of security best practices in web applications.
