Organizational Context

TARS INDUSTRIES invites applications for a senior contract position to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of 
System II (SYS II AI),

a sovereign, large-scale artificial-intelligence system developed under the authority of TARS INDUSTRIES for national-level deployment.

This initiative constitutes the 
core intelligence infrastructure

behind the
Universe Project

and 
TARS SECURE CLOUD

, supporting both civilian innovation ecosystems and high-security analytical operations under national and international compliance.

Scope of Work

The selected engineer will be responsible for architecting and implementing the 
foundation model architecture

, including training pipelines, inference systems, and secured API frameworks.

The role entails direct collaboration with research, security, and infrastructure units to ensure that System II operates within the highest standards of 
sovereign data integrity

Primary Responsibilities

• Architect and develop the 
  System II AI core engine
   using 
  PyTorch
  , 
  PostgreSQL
  , and 
  gRPC
  , deployed via 
  Docker
   on 
  TARS SECURE CLOUD
  .
• Establish a distributed data and model-training pipeline capable of large-scale parallelization across local data-center nodes.
• Implement advanced 
  language-modeling
  , 
  reasoning
  , and 
  adaptive-learning
   capabilities for conversational and analytical intelligence.
• Coordinate with backend teams for integration with 
  Universe Project
   microservices and AI-driven features (search, moderation, recommendation, intelligence feed).
• Ensure compliance with 
  data-sovereignty
  , 
  privacy
  , and 
  defense-grade cybersecurity
   protocols.
• Design modular APIs for third-party and institutional collaboration while maintaining restricted-access control.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation covering system architecture, training data pipelines, model metrics, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in 
  Computer Science

  Machine Learning

  , or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in 
  AI/ML architecture

  distributed systems
  , or 
  data engineering

• Proven expertise in

  PostgreSQL

  gRPC
  .
• Strong foundation in 
  deep-learning model training
  , 
  data pipeline management
  , and 
  model optimization
   for production environments.
• Demonstrated ability to handle 
  classified or sensitive infrastructure projects
   with rigorous security protocols.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce technical documentation of state department standard.

Preferred Expertise

• Experience with 
  large-language-model training
