Company Description

We're CBDP, a Barishal-based NGO. We work with foreign donors, INGOs, UN bodies, and national NGOs to address social, environmental, and rights-based challenges. In our mission for a society with equal opportunity for all, we face several operational challenges. With project offices spread across different places, managing procurement, expenses, payroll, and accounting for the different projects takes most of our time, and in our field, every second we may bring change to a life. Manual processes led to inefficient process approvals which sometimes take weeks due to physical paperwork moving between offices. Since most of our work is donor-funded, financial tracking and beneficiary monitoring across multiple projects need to be tracked in real time with no errors, and generating reports for donors also engages them in real time through the project life cycle can increase our credibility. The lack of a centralized system meant inefficiencies piled up, draining time and resources that should have been spent on achieving our mission.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Freelance Odoo/ERPNext Consultant. The consultant will be responsible for implemention support in Odoo/ERPNext software solutions for the organization. Role also include providing technical support, conducting training sessions for staff, and maintaining documentation of systems and workflows.

a) Financial Management & Accounting -

  • Chart of accounts setup tailored for NGO needs
  • Budget tracking by project, program, donor.
  • Comprehensive financial reports.

b) Project Management & Evaluation-

  • Define and manage project tasks with budgets, time-frames, milestones.
  • Manage beneficiaries.
  • Capture outputs/indicators by project and location.

c) Procurement & Inventory -

  • Request → approval → purchase → receipt workflow.
  • Vendor database with history and performance tracking.
  • stock receipts, stock issues, transfers, reordering.
  • Link inventory to projects for resource usage tracking.

d) Human Resources & Payroll -

  • Staff profiles, contract types, and role management.
  • Attendance, leave, and timesheets.
  • Task allocation and tracking.
  • Payroll processing, deductions, benefits.
  • Payroll report generation and payslip distribution.

e) Fundraising Management -

  • Donor database with contact information and giving history.
  • Donation records and receipt generation.
  • Donation tracking by event.

f) Reporting & Analytics -

  • Interactive dashboards for management oversight.
