Assistant Manager / Manager (Equipment & Transport)

Job Description / Responsibility

  • To facilitate communication and collaboration between departments & teams.
  • Maintain Liaison with different stakeholders & Clients to achieve company goals.
  • To ensure & maintain all Logistics Vehicles & Equipment.
  • To ensure identification of vehicle troubles, repairs, routine maintenance, and integrated logistics solutions to improve the overall transport plan.
  • To develop a transport risk management plan to improve the process of transport execution.
  • To monitor the vehicle maintenance, workshop field work, minor & major accidental risks, and Keep records/ history of drivers and accidents.
  • To ensure the scheduled maintenance for all vehicles.
  • To ensure the creation of a Purchase Requisition.
  • To ensure and maintain the updates of the Vehicle.
  • To monitor the outer repair work (Lathe workshop, radiator, denting, painting contractual work, etc.)
  • To monitor & ensure minor & major maintenance report, vehicle documents & record of repair works, processing & checking.
  • To ensure the preparation of daily maintenance reports of different types of engines and vehicles.
  • To Optimize resources and cost.
  • Handle requests and queries appropriately and inform the Management regularly.
  • To perform any other task as assigned by the management from time to time.

Educational Requirements

  • Diploma in Automobile
  • Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Automobile
  • Diploma / B.Sc. in Automobile Engineering from a reputed College/University.

Experience Requirements

  • At least 8 year(s)
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  • Shipping,Clearing and Forwarding (C and F) Companies,Freight forwarding,Chemical Industries

Additional Requirements

  • Having technical knowledge about cranes, forklifts, and other equipment.
  • Ability to Troubleshoot & work under pressure.
  • Sound knowledge of computer operation & AutoCAD etc.
  • Good morale value with ethical commitment.
  • Well-behaved, convincing & positive attitude.
