Our Relationship Managers are trusted advisors to our clients. They partner with clients at the highest levels of their organisation to drive relationship growth and strategy. They bring deep industry knowledge and strong client relationships to understand their needs and advise customised solutions.
You'll lead the client strategy execution, partnering closely with our Cluster and Geographies Account Managers, and Field Account Managers, in driving key account coverage and growth. You'll be the main global client relationship owner responsible for coordinating resources to fully meet the clients' financial needs across our global footprint.

About Our Banking And Coverage Team
- Banking and Coverage owns and leads the management and development of our Client Relationships globally. Our bankers work across the global network together with our product partners to deliver working capital, financing, trade, cash and markets solutions for our clients. The solutions cover a wide range of products and services from sustainable trade finance to credit derivatives to mergers and acquisitions (M&A) advisory.
About Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB)

Key Responsibilities
Relationship Managers are responsible driving revenue target for the corporate portfolio, ensuring portfolio hygiene and monitoring credit risk. The jobholder is accountable for driving business volume, ensuring completion of documentation, monitoring client risk and mitigants, and ongoing monitoring for credit-material events.
Relationship Managers work closely with Credit analysts, Client Managers and Risk teams, for developing and executing their client strategies and both in respect to business origination and monitoring relevant matters.
Strategy
- Constant awareness and drive to tap into potential opportunity aligning with the Bank's strategy
- Account Plan to upgrade and expand relationships with key accounts, ideating on priorities and opportunities, and engaging on strategic themes
- Identify client needs across SCB's product capabilities, originate new business and grow the franchise by capitalising on the Bank's competitive attributes
- Conduct systematic client relationship reviews for top tier clients, together with the relevant CIB Business Development partners (e.g. partner teams such as Client Proposition & Experience, Client & Frontline Content) and clients' senior management / key decision makers
- Monitor market and competitor activity to ensure that opportunities for new business are not overlooked and market share is not eroded.
- Assess, by means of financial and other analyses/ Risk Assessment, all credit proposals required to be signed as proposer to ensure that risks are fully analysed, addressed and balanced
Business
- Lead the origination and client relationship management for a portfolio of Corporates.
- Anticipate clients' needs and provide strategic advice, bringing in the relevant product and industry partners as appropriate
- Deliver financial performance objectives (i.e. Revenues, RoRWA, RoTE, etc.)
- Leverage and continually develop industry and product knowledge (e.g., sustainable finance), explaining relevant implications of the changing economic landscape to clients and helping them identify where there is opportunity for business growth
Risk Management
- Ensure credit, operational, legal, regulatory, reputation, compliance are held to the highest standards of risk management and aligned with the Bank's risk appetite (at a product and enterprise level as relevant)
- Serves as escalation point for risks relevant to client / portfolio (e.g. risks identified through analysis of transactional data, external factors and other drivers) and decide on key actions / mitigations to take to address risk
- Lead periodic and trigger reviews for relevant clients / portfolio on risks that impact them (i.e. risks found in client due diligence (CDD) such as credit, FCC compliance, financial crimes, fraud, sustainability risk)
- Keep abreast with changing regulatory requirements and provide advisory support to client
Skills And Experience
- Product knowledge - Corporate Finance, Markets, Transaction Banking, Sustainable Finance.
- Risk management, financial and credit analysis.
- Experienced in using and adapting to client behaviors and preferences.
- Uses business acumen, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of client onboarding, local market nuances and the regulatory landscape.
- Works effectively with ambiguity, in a dynamic environment.
- Minimum of 6 years' banking experience. Candidates with experience in structuring and executing deals would be preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (in English and Bangla), with ability to work across cultures and within a dynamic environment
- Able to hold credible dialogue at all levels of the organisation, as well as with clients and regulators
- Well organized, able to multi-task and balance competing demands
