Role Purpose

Lead day-to-day IT operations for the Bangladesh and India office, ensuring reliable, secure, and cost-effective services across endpoints, network, collaboration, and core business systems. Partner with regional IT (CN/HK/IN) and business stakeholders to deliver service levels, drive continuous improvement, and execute projects aligned to PGS standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Operations Leadership:
    Own IT services for Dhaka; oversee ticket queues, on-site support, and incident/major incident handling. Maintain KPIs/SLAs and publish service reports.
  • Endpoint & Collaboration:
    Manage build standards, patching, image hygiene, and lifecycle for laptops and peripherals; administer Microsoft 365/O365 (mail, Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive) with attention to retention and data protection.
  • Network & Infrastructure:
    Ensure LAN/Wi‑Fi stability, internet/ISP performance, printing, and room A/V. Coordinate with Group for cloud and security stack.
  • Security & Compliance:
    Enforce access hygiene (AD/Azure AD), MFA, privileged access, asset custody and OMS records. Remediate vulnerabilities and support internal/external audits.
  • Vendor & Procurement:
    Manage local suppliers (hardware, ISP, services); run quotes, compare, recommend, and track deliveries; align to Group Procurement and PGS IT Asset policy.
  • Projects & Change:
    Plan and deliver local deployments (e.g., laptop refresh), new site setup or site upgrades, and cross‑functional initiatives (Systems interfaces). Use light PMO discipline with risks/RAIDs.
  • People & Stakeholders:
    Coach a small site team/contractors; set goals, provide feedback and escalation paths. Maintain stakeholder cadence with Operations/QA/Merchandising.
  • Budget & Reporting:
    Track local IT spend, asset pool, licenses and maintenance. Provide monthly status and risk updates to the Head of Systems & Technology.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years in IT operations with 3+ years leading site support/engineers in a multi-office, regional or multinational environment.
  • Hands-on strength with Microsoft 365 admin, Windows client management, Azure AD/AD, Intune or equivalent endpoint management, and standard networking (L2/L3, VLANs, Wi‑Fi).
  • Proven vendor management (RFP/quotations, negotiations, SOWs) and hardware lifecycle/asset management.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL practices (incident, change, problem) and basic scripting/automation (PowerShell preferred).
  • Clear, concise communication in English; Bengali highly regarded; ability to work across cultures/time zones.

Preferred

  • Certifications such as Microsoft (MD‑102/MD‑101/SC‑900/AZ‑104), Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), or ITIL Foundation.
  • Experience in retail/sourcing office environments and with systems such as CBX, OMS, and Inspectorio.
  • Exposure to information security frameworks and audit readiness.
