Location: Banani, Dhaka

𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲:

The Finance Manager will be responsible for leading a team within the Finance Department to ensure accurate financial management, donor compliance, reporting, and internal controls. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, supporting project implementation, and maintaining compliance with national and international financial regulations. This is a mid-senior level position where both development sector and corporate sector experience will be considered.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:


• Lead and supervise a team of finance officers and executives, ensuring quality work, proper task delegation, and performance monitoring


• Review and monitor project and organizational budgets and forecasts in collaboration with relevant departments


• Ensure timely preparation and submission of financial reports to management and donor agencies


• Support the implementation and improvement of internal control systems and financial procedures


• Review procurement and operational expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets and policies


• Ensure proper documentation and archiving of financial records for donor audits and internal reviews


• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits and support implementation of audit recommendations


• Monitor fund disbursements and ensure proper utilization and tracking of donor funds


• Support compliance with government regulations, including NBR, NGOAB, and tax/VAT-related matters


• Provide input to strategic financial planning, risk assessment, and operational efficiencies

𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞:


• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration


• Part-qualified CA / CMA / ACCA or equivalent preferred


• Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in financial management or accounting from any NGO


• At least 1–2 years in a supervisory/team lead role


• Sound knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, budgeting, and audit principles


• Familiarity with donor compliance (e.g., UNICEF) is a plus


• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Odoo, QuickBooks) and advanced MS Excel


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate across teams


• High ethical standards, integrity, and attention to detail


• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
