The Role

We are looking for a
Finance & Procurement Associate
who will play a central role in keeping our operations strong, transparent, and efficient. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, balancing numbers with practical problem-solving, and ensuring every transaction aligns with best practices.

The Finance & Procurement Associate will manage day-to-day financial operations, budgeting, reporting, and oversee procurement processes to make sure that resources are acquired responsibly, cost-effectively, and in compliance with donor and organizational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Finance:

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, cash flow, and expense tracking.
• Support the preparation of budgets, financial statements, and donor reports.
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws, audit requirements, and internal financial policies.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, and finance partners.
• Develop and maintain transparent financial systems for project-based work.

Procurement:

• Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including vendor sourcing, quotations, evaluations, and contracts.
• Maintain vendor databases and relationships, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Draft and review purchase orders, contracts, and MoUs.
• Ensure procurement aligns with organizational policies and donor compliance guidelines.
• Support logistics and asset management for events and projects.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in finance, accounts, or procurement (development/NGO/consulting background preferred).
• Knowledge of procurement policies (government/donor systems like GIZ, UN, World Bank is a plus).
• Strong command of MS Excel and financial software/tools.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
